Dobe Puppy with Growing Pains

I have a 6 mo old Dobe puppy with severe leg pain. Had him x-rayed. Vet says growing pain. Can this be true and what can I do for him other than pain meds...

There are several conditions that young growing large breed puppies can develop that cause severe pain at times. Since your veterinarian XR'd your pup they would be the best one to ask this question of. The type of problem present makes the choice of pain medication clear.
